On Friday, March 13, the La Union Watershed District participated in Career Day at La Union Elementary, giving students the opportunity to learn about careers related to watershed protection, conservation, and environmental science.
During the event, we spoke with students about what a watershed is, why protecting water resources is important, and the different careers that help manage and protect our local land and water. Students were introduced to roles such as watershed technicians, environmental scientists, hydrologists, and conservation specialists.
Career Day was a great opportunity to connect with students and encourage them to explore future careers that help protect and improve their local environment.
The La Union Watershed District would like to thank La Union Elementary School for inviting us to participate and for giving us the opportunity to share the importance of watershed stewardship with the next generation.
